Tim Freeman "The Drumslinger"
Drums / Vocals

Since 1974, Tim aka the Drumslinger has been playing a variety of styles ranging
from Rhythm & Blues to Gospel with groups such as the Maurice Davis Revue and
the Mighty Gospel Shepherds. In the mid-eighties there was a stint with
Pontiac based R&B group, "Sun Ship", with saxophonist Elvin Jones' nephew,
Joe Gamble.

From around 1990 through 2007, Tim played many club dates across
Michigan, Indiana, & Ohio, with Lansing based horn band "Soulstice"
and sharing the stage with KC & the Sunshine Band. He also performed
Black-Tie corporate weddings and events with
Lorio-Ross Sterling Entertainment groups "Newsmaker" and "L' USA",
opening for artists like Johnny Mathis and including performances with
Count Basie alumni saxophonist Willie George.

In 2009, Tim was involved with a Jazz/Funk project titled "Afrodisiac".
The latest chapter in the Drum Slinger's book came
when he accepted the drum chair for the widely acclaimed bugs Beddow band,
a multi-award winning Trombone Driven R&B Funk Band from Detroit.

The Drumslinger's motto is "HAVE DRUM, WILL TRAVEL".
